Kent-born Kedwell, progressed through Chatham Town's youth team, working his way up into the senior team helping them gain promotion from the Kent League.
In July 2002, the young striker joined Chatham's league rivals Tonbridge Angels, before moving to Fisher Athletic a few months later in October 2002.
During the 2002/03 season, Danny had a short spell at Lordsword before signing for for Maidstone United in May 2003.
In the close of the 2005 season, Kedwell joined Welling United from Herne Bay.
Danny was voted Nationwide Conference South Player of the Month three times in 2006/07, and was also the top goal scoring netting 23 league goals. The striker also had an unsuccessful trial at then League One club Brentford at the start of the season.
After handing in a transfer request in January 2007, Grays made a £10,000 bid to land the striker who was out of contract in the summer. However, The Wings rejected the offer.
On Saturday 5th May, Grays Athletic announced the signing of Kedwell on a two-year deal. Kedwell made no secret of his search for full-time football.
"Grays is a great club. I went to see them in the FA Trophy Final at Villa Park and since then I have wanted to play for them." revealed Kedwell.
During the 2007/08 season, Kedwell scored 15 goals, striking up a decent partnership with loanee Jamie Taylor towards the end of the season.
Keds made 8 appearances the following season, before transferring to AFC Wimbledon in the Blue Square South.
