The 19-year-old winger joined Grays on 7th January 2008 for a one-month loan spell from League One side Crewe Alexandra.
Crewe Alexandra signed Daniel from Northern Premier League side Eastwood Town in July 2007, he also attracted interest from Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.
Daniel returned to Crewe at the start of February 2008, but had to wait until January 2009 before his next appearance. He then featured in the Crewe side a further 9 times, scoring once before a loan move to Macclesfield for the remainder of the 2008/09 season.
Following a successful spell on loan, he signed for The Silkmen for the 2009/10 season, saying "I'd enjoyed my time here so it was an easy choice to make. "I got on well with everyone and we should be looking at top half and the play-offs."
