Justin briefs Jamie Stuart
Pictures from the match
Grays‘ run of confidence-building results continued at New Lodge on Tuesday evening when the battle of the Blues saw the visitors edge a late win.

Talk before the match in the home camp was of Billericay striker Bradley Garness, who scored a great goal in Saturday‘s 3-3 draw with Peterborough. He has signed for the Ryman Premier League side on a one-year deal.

But it was Grays‘ summer arrival, Danny Kedwell, who grabbed the friendly‘s only goal to give manager Justin Edinburgh a winning return to his former club.

Kedwell netted four minutes from time with the home defence weakened by that time following injuries to Darren Blewitt and Rob Swaine.

Kedwell had hit the woodwork in the opening half, while the Ryman Premier hosts looked set to break through, only for John Ashton‘s brilliant tackle halting Leon Hunter.

Goalkeeper Jack Buckfield, 17, started his first game and performed well in the home goal in front of a near 400 crowd, making one exceptional save from the Blue Square Premier side‘s Craig McAllister.
