The young Irishman started his career at Irish outfit Crumlin United, before moving to Nottingham Forest's youth academy.
Power has played at every youth level for Ireland from Under-15 to Under-19, and was called up to the Under-21's in October 2007.
He made his debut for Forest early in 2007, coming on as a substitute versus Peterborough United in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash. His first game for Grays was also against The Posh in a reserve fixture - Grays lost 3-0.
Power signed for Grays Ath on loan on 22nd November 2007 until January 2008, with options to extend the deal. He returned to Forest on 5th February 2007.
