(Signed for Newport County - December 2008) Player statistics are not complete...
|
Signed for the club in August 2008 on a one year contract following his release from League side Cheltenham Town.
Reid had begun his career with Coventry City and despite several appearances and goals for the reserve side under the management of Steve Ogrizovic, he failed to break into the first team. During his time with the Sky Blues, he was sent out on loan to Tamworth where he made two league appearances without getting on the scoresheet.
He was released in 2007 and soon signed for Cheltenham Town where he made 14 league appearances, but again failed to score for the first team, however he regularly netted for the reserves.
After joining The Blues in August 2008, he made just three substitute appearances - his debut being a 1-0 home defeat to Eastbourne Borough - before heading to Wales to join Conference South side Newport County on loan. This move was made permanent in December 2008.
