The centre-back joined Grays Ath on 24th July 2009, along with Charlie Taylor and Richard Graham. He is instantly recognisable on the pitch due to his bandana.
Shayne started out with Ware, winning their "Player of the Year" accolade when he was 18-years old. He then moved to Tilbury in December 2003.
He signed for Conference South outfit Redbridge from Harrow Borough in November 2004. Shayne left Redbridge in February 2005, reuniting with former boss Craig Edwards at Ryman Premier club Chelmsford City.
Paul Fairclough selected the Chelmsford defender for an FA XI to face Middlesex Wanderers to celebrate their Centenary.
In August 2006, Shayne joined Ryman Premier club AFC Wimbledon but failed to make an impact with the Dons.
Mangodza turned out for Aveley in the 2006/07 season under future Grays assistant Steve Browne. The following season he had a spell with Craig Edwards' Dulwich Hamlet, before enduring a brief stint at Steve Browne's Potters Bar Town at the start of the 2008/09 season. He make a total of six appearances for the Scholars.
Shayne later joined Cheshunt, leaving in November 2008.
During his non-League football career, Mangodza has also represented Brimsdown Rovers and Great Wakering Rovers.
Mangodza was ushered out the backdoor with numerous players and managers two weeks after signing for Grays without making a competitive appearance.
