Charlie Comyn-Platt joined Grays on 23rd November 2006 on loan until January 2007. He made his debut in the 1-1 home draw with Andy King for Swindon Town in 2005. He struggled to break into the first team, but after King's dismissal and Iffy Onuora's appointment he found himslef breaking into the first team. Charlie was a regular under Dennis Wise, but soon found himself out of favour under the management of Paul Sturrock.
After his loan period with Grays Athletic ended, he returned to Swindon Town, and subsequently signed for Rochdale, minutes before the end of the transfer window on 31st January 2007. He signed an 18 month contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2008.
