Graduating from Watford’s Academy Scheme, Cam made a number of appearances for Watford’s reserve team before joining Wealdstone in January 2005. Whilst at Watford, he represented England at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-20 levels.
He made a sole appearance for The Stones and was selected as a substitute on a number of occasions. Mawer left Wealdstone, making a move to Stoke City early in 2005, where he made a handful of appearances for The Potters reserve team.
In February '05, he also made a single appearance for Stockport County’s reserve side, before joining Grays on the 27th August 2005.
Cam was born in Stevenage and still lives there today. He is predominately a right-back, who can also play in the middle of defence.
