Central defender Stevland Angus joined Grays Athletic on 26th August 2005 from fellow Conference club Cambridge United. He made his debut at home to Aldershot Town in a 2-1 win, and went on to play a total of 16 times for Grays, scoring 1 goal in a 2-1 win away to Dagenham & Redbridge. On 31st January 2006, Angus was released on a 3 month loan spell to Barnet FC and subsequently never returned to the club. He began his career as a trainee with West Ham United, featuring in their 1999 FA Youth Cup win, and turning professional in August 1999. In need of first team experience, Angus joined Bournemouth on loan in August 2000. He returned to West Ham after two months, but failed to break into the first team and was released at the end of the 2000-01 season. In July 2001, Angus joined Cambridge United on a free transfer. He spent four years with Cambridge, playing 135 league games, scoring once. In December 2004 he joined Hull City on loan and the following month joined Scunthorpe United on loan. After leaving Grays, Angus signed for Torquay United for the 2006-7 season.
