Saturday, 9th December 2006 - Belhus Leisure Centre

The lads dominated this game, opening 15 minutes several chances went begging then against the run of play the shimpers scored from there 1st attack ,5 minutes later we were 2 0 down again we failed to clear our lines ,we then went 3 0 down yet still the lads were wasting chances the shrimpers keeper made 3 decent saves and the post then the bar saved the visitors, half time 0 3.

The second period was one way traffic good work on the right allowed val to steer home ,3 minutes later richy crashed home at 3 2 the shrimpers were in our sights, the ref awarded a penalty which matty lashed home to square it at 3 3, the shrimpers goal at times led a charmed life but with 3 minutes on the clock remaining jason cooly finished which resulted in manic scenes amongst the lads and yours truly.

Well played to both teams the game was played in a sporting spirit and was a decent spectacle, we all look forward to the return game against southend hopefully very soon.
