Mark Stimson’s replacement for the departed Mel Capleton, Carl Emberson was called upon several times, but he denied the home side until the 71st minute. Adam Everitt fed Scott whose high shot fooled the Grays backline and Emberson too before arcing in.
Freddy Eastwood had his chances late on but with just seconds remaining Youds headed in from a Mitchell Cole corner.
But the linesman thought it had not crossed the line before Jason O’Connor cleared and Grays were denied.
